SILICONE - Food-grade silicone is a non-toxic polymer made mostly from sand. With the ability to withstand high temperature heating and freezing without leaching any hazardous chemicals, silicone is a durable and safe material. Silicone is also hypoallergenic, odor and stain-resistant. With its soft, rubber-like texture, silicone is flexible and resilient! Silicone is also dishwasher safe and very easy to clean. It can also be sterilized by boiling.
TPE - Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is a soft, rubber-like plastic that has similar properties to silicone. It can easily bond with other plastics, where silicone cannot, and offer the added benefits of rubber-like qualities to rigid plastics.
PP - Polypropleyne (PP) is one of the most versatile types of plastic! It has a high melting point, so it works very well for food containers that can be exposed to high temperatures such as in microwaves and dishwashers. It is safe, durable and won’t break down when exposed to water, detergents or other acidic or basic substances. It is lightweight and can withstand lots of stress. Polypropylene also doesn’t mold or react to bacteria.
